As we expected Broncos re-signed S Shamarko Thomas to the active roster.

The Broncos have also released NT Kyle Peko and DE DeShawn Williams from the PS.

They have signed NT Niles Scott to the PS and still have one PS spot remaining. My guess is that is for Isaiah McKenzie once he clears waivers.

Peko has been on and off active roster. Looks like we have finally moved on.

Thomas doesn't offer much at the safety position, but he is a very good special teams player. He's a hitter!

Shamarko will wear #38.

I've got a question about McKenzie:

If another team claimed him off waivers, would they have to put him on their active roster or could they put him on their practice squad ? ...

If you're "claimed" you go to the active roster.

Now, someone right now could be in talks with him about joining their PS.

Once he is signed to a PS anyone can still sign him to their active roster, but the Broncos can bring him up or he can pass and remain on the PS if he feels his situation is good.

When I refered to Broncos you obviously knew I meant or whoever else ls PS he is on. Guessing McKenzie signs to our Ps tomorrow. Why else would we cut two people and not sign two. I think he has to wait 24-48 hours once season starts to re-sign to his own teams PS.

Raiders made a couple of moves today in bringing back Bryant for the WR core and then signing Jonathan Hankins with Justin Ellis looking like he will be out for a while.

They also signed Clinton McDonald. Bryant was actually yesterday. ;)

I saw a headline last night that said "Raiders to sign WR Bryant"

I figured it was Dez, but in bringing back Martavis, it sort of seems like a desperation move .. If he was a going to be a positive for the team, you'd think they would have kept him around in the first place, esp considering he hadn;t even played in a regular season game with them yet ..

This Raiders / Gruden thing has been fun to watch

Supposedly he got cut because the Raiders thought he was going to be suspended for the entire year and just decided to be done with him. Now for some reason that rumor has quieted down and well with that offense looking so putrid in week 1 they decided he was worth the headache.

Martavis Bryant can play. His signing might make Sunday's contest more challenging for the new No Fly Zone.

The Raiders would have had to guarantee Bryant’s contract if he was on the roster week 1. This gives them less stress in dealing with his off field behavior.

After watching Sunday's game from the stands I don't know that we have a "No Fly Zone". Most of the damage was done through the air, and we gave up numerous big plays through the air.

I was going to say. Not sure we can call us no fly zone anymore at this point. Hopefully get that swag back soon.

I love Bradley Roby but the guy need to elevate his game to the next level. I'd like to see him be a bit more like Talib (well a lot more like Talib) but just in terms of physicality. I saw it from him at Ohio State. I want to see him play in your face, trash talking. I think it will give him a bit more swag. He seems so quiet on the field to me.

Yeah, the NFZ might be dead but I'm not going to offer their eulogy until that's verified in the next few games.

Yeah, the NFZ might be dead but I'm not going to offer their eulogy until that's verified in the next few games.

I'm here, but not because the NFZ is dead. It might very well be alive, if our pass rush and pressure limits the qb's time in the pocket. Much easier to be a great coverage team when qb's have less time for routes. Rarely get beat deep, better change for forced passes, or bad decisions.

I think IF we have a "NFZ" this year, it will be simply because our pass rush is on par or better than our last SB winning season.

Also helps when you have a lead and they can't afford to run the ball all the time, which I think we have the talent to do on offense with our revamped offense.
