Wow

I had basically resigned to the situation. I mean, I knew it would end eventually... but things had been dead ass quiet for a while.

Good news. Removes a cloud of uncertainty/controversy hanging over Bears training camp.

I wonder which side blinked first. Better not be the Bears side.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders.

I'm sure in due time we'll all have forgotten this mess, but it will be harder to do so if he's not ready to start by opening night. I think he will be, but that's more of a guess than what should be a foregone conclusion.

The issues they were struggling over need to be (and will be) handled in 2020 with new CBA negotiation.

It'll be a wet, whiskey shit... because since the holdout started. All I've been doing is drinking and crying. Twas a dark fortnight... even a bit longer than that. (no, not the game).

Aaaand he's tweaked his hammy. :sigh:
Hate to say it gents, but I really see no chance of Roquan opening the season as the starter, and that's even assuming this hammy thing gets cleared up in plenty of time. Depending on how quickly it does heal, his chances of even playing at all against the Chiefs are probably ranging somewhere between slim and none. That leaves him with only the last game to prepare him for the start of the '18 campaign.

Possibly... The dumb ass should have been practicing instead of holding out like a petulant child.

Well no argument from me. But I'm more disappointed than angry. I know contract issues take place all the time with today's NFL. I really was expecting to see him as our starter out of the gate a month or so back. But now the question may be when he even gets onto the field. Even if we assume he's healthy by opening night, I'm still not sure we'll see him in any other capacity than rotational at best. Fortunately, Kwiatkowski is playing some mean football, so that will lessen the pressure a bit.

Well, the story out of Hallas Hall today was that Smith and James Daniels were close to breaking into the starting lineup.

We'll see what the hamstring situation really is
