Rodger Saffold needs shoulder surgery?

Just heard on the NFL channel that RS could be headed for should surgery on his right shoulder. This guy just can't stay healthy and I think it's time the Rams look for another option at LG. Every year he goes down with some type of injury and it's getting old.

even though they threatened not to sign, they came out afterwards saying they would have signed. it would've been worth the risk for a 7th round pick. after all, they wasted a 7th rounder on Sam so why not do it for a far better talent?

It is a young Rams line already, put another guy in and learn together. All the more reason not to hussle Gurley into the starting lineup. Better it be the first preseason game versus the 4th. We have time.

I see we lost to the Raiders, but I wasn't aware of any injuries. I hope its not season ending.

zek, he hurt his right shoulder on the fourth play of the game on a play that really wasn't much going on during that play. Rams have been quiet about the injury ever since, but the NFL channel reported his injury will require surgery. Not sure if that is the case or not. Stay tuned.

Correct SJ76. Mathis is all used up and we have way too many young talented guys to go that route again. Haven't we learned anything from Jake Long and others? The answer to that rhetorical question is I finally thing so. Reynolds is the extent of vets we are going to sign if we sign anybody and right now, we have more than enough O-lineman despite what Foles thinks.

An old/aging Mathis is better then any choice we have. The guy is a one year stop gap so we have a chance to compete. The young guys who aren't ready and learn from him
