Hello @Old Sweater, I saw this forum has been dead since February and am kinda intrigued by your team; is there a way we could start up a conversation?
Some background: I'm a college student in the DFW area (hence the Rangers flair). I started following MLB in 2023 (perfect timing, I know), but my grandpa lives in southern Colorado so I always had some association with that area. Only started paying attention to the Rockies last year when they were about to have the worst season of all time, but unlike the 2024 White Sox I wanted them to avoid it. Believe it or not my parents and I flew over to Denver last summer and we were actually in attendance at the 17-16 game! (We left in the 5th though…) This season I didn't expect to be fixating on Colorado, but seeing them lose close to Miami made me feel bad since they were clearly improved.
Right now I'm monitoring every out of every game, almost to my detriment. Mostly I just hope the Rockies go as long as possible without getting pummeled and/or looking stupid. Problem is there's nobody else around to celebrate/vent with. Let me know and maybe we can have a 1-on-1 thread! (If not that's fine, I know you may have other worries just like me.)
