This made me cry.

My goodness, he was such a pleasure and a great guy on the Husker Cruise. He talked for over an hour and it was just entertaining.

God Bless, Milt.

He died with Nebraska being 4-0. I am sure that gave him great pleasure.

He must have made an impression on Radley-Hiles for him to tweet that. That tells me quite a bit about the character of Radley-Hiles, and it is good character.

Just a few days before, he visited practice. I think he knew he was gonna pass soon.

Back in the early /mid 90's my brother and I were coaching at a clinic in Michigan, I think it was a Merrill Hoge clinic, with several college coaches. Milt says one of the coaches.
Great guy. He provided one of the funniest moments in my 18 years of coaching. I'd rather not say what it was, at this time.

In the summer of 1996, at the end of my freshman year, I attended footall camp in Lincoln. One day as we were going through stations, Coach Tenopir noticed I didn't have the technique down at the station I was at. He waited until all the stations were completed and everyone was leaving (it was lunch time). He pulled me aside and asked if I wanted to work on some things. We ended up spending about a half an hour working on hands and footwork in a 1on1 setting. I wasn't some kid he was trying to recruit, just some no-name freshman who was there mostly because he was a fan of the team. I often wonder how bad I must have looked to stand out in a room of over 100 lineman. On the last day he sought me out and gave me a video so I could continue to work on some things. I said thank you and got a picture a picture with him.

RIP Coach, thanks for everything.

"Some assistants crash at the end of long days. Milt and Charlie McBride used to spend Wednesday nights during the season in Davey (population 154), where they drank beer and played pitch with the farmers. Sometimes they drove around the hills west of Lincoln looking at land for sale."

-OWH

It doesn't get much more old school and awesome than that.
