I heard he used to be a policeman?Loved that guy. Met him a couple of years ago after a show. great guy, very down to earth. Did a lot for veterans as well. He laughed and actually signed a dollar bill for me.

Two years on the NYC force in BrooklynI'm not sure if he ever made to actual policeman, but he was in the academy. I think some of his family were officers though. This is just off the top of my head and I'm sure wiki will prove me wrong...lol

He was never a "cop". He was a trainee, and a desk jockey...not a patrolman, or beat cop per se. It was still a noble attempt on his part though, even after later realizing he wasn't cut out for it.
