He was a quirky as heck ball player. He was on the A's when I still liked them.

WAY too young. Tragic.

That sucks. I loved watching the A's play in the late 80s, Henderson doesn't get the credit for what he meant on those teams.

This absolutely sucks.... I met Dave more than once in Seattle, and he actually bought my Dad a beer one time at Red Robin, I also saw him a lot in the 90's at Pack West in Bellevue where he used to work out with some of his friends ... He was always smiling and if you wanted to talk baseball he was always willing.... RIP Dave your gonna be missed... Sad sad news... :[
