This is why I get so frustrated with the way this team has been for at least the last 4-5 years. We ALL know the history of Steelers football. We all know the legacy the Steelers has and the status that playing for the Steelers gives you. Steeler Football should be ELITE football regardless of who we are playing. I'm not saying we should go 19-0 every season, but we should be competitive every single time we step on the field. This franchise was built on a foundation of success and SUPERB decision making. Unfortunately, I believe that's just a thing of the past now and I think that's because of the coaching that Steeler Nation has laid its hat on for the longest time. Not necessarily Tomlin, but Fichtner, Butler, Bradley and others. But eventually, that blame is going to reach Tomlin is the course isn't corrected.

Been saying this for years. The Rooney's are a class act. No other team in the league has the stability of the Steelers.
At coach and QB, yes. But not anywhere else. Plus, I love the coaching stability, but I'd also love to not be on the #StairwayTo7 anymore. Been on this road for 13 years and I'm ready to take a different path at this point!

Stability in the FO & good decision making doesn't always mean the product on the field is going to be ELITE. I mean c'mon we suffered through a lot of dark years under Cowher before they got it figured out... And most fans hold Cowher in very high regard.

I personally only went through 3-4 years of those down-Cowher days and I was only literally alive for 4 of Noll's years so I wasn't at the age where I could understand anything outside of who wins and loses. I was 7 when I started rooting for them and the game that made me a fan was Super Bowl XXX against Dallas. 98-00, I was 9-10 years old so I didn't know what was going on then either. 03 was a tough year as a Steelers fan as well, but I was 15 so this is probably the first time as an adult that I've personally gone through frustrating and tough years back to back. 2012-2013, in my opinion, wasn't as frustrating and agonizing to watch as 2017-Now. I think these last 4 years have been the most frustrating thing to watch as a Steelers fan. Just hoping for some bright spots in the offseason and/or the draft.
