Not quite a plea agreement but legally it means the charges will be on file and held until he completes some type of restitution, whether that be fines, community service, jail (doesn't sound likely), etc. That has either already been discussed by Richards and the attorneys and has been determined it is not a serious enough incident to warrant any further proceedings.
After that they will most likely be settled and/or dismissed. Since it is a misdemeanor, it can be expunged after his restitution is complete and off his record. Glad it worked out for him and the Kings, everyone can move on now.
He scored his first goal in 15 games with the Caps the other night. I know he was snake bitten in LA the last 2 years or so and I want to see him be productive, but if you saw the goal it should not have counted - the ref was extremely slow with the whistle when it was clear Domingue had full possession.
Puck I love you and agree with you most of the time but this guy fucked the Kings way worse than Blake ever did, and you (rightly so) won't forgive Blake to this day. FUCK Mike Richards.
The way I look at it, he did the Kings a favor by being busted with oxy. His play was in serious decline, and the Kings were saddled with his contract out of loyalty. This enabled Dumbo to ditch the contract at a fraction of the cost (on the books, anyway) and get rid of a player who he was blindly loyal to.
The way I look at it there were faults on both sides but for different reasons but his departure mostly benefitted the Kings. I could care less for Blake as you all know, but this guy was part of 2 Cup winning teams, one of them he was integral to.
Blake just came here to collect checks couldn't lead a dying horse to water, Richards showed this team what a winner was supposed to be at least.
