I thought he had gotten better towards the end of the year with some more creative play calling. Now it will be interesting what happens with the rest of the offensive staff.

Wow didn’t expect this especially since he stepped into the Broncos with a QB who was washed up and a pair of guys who hadn’t taken any regular season snaps. I wonder if Fangio has a line on a guy he knows will be better faster. I sure hope so.

This is really disappointing. Now you have Lock having to work with a new OC. What is this, 6 OCs in 6 years next year?

Is Kubiak coming back? Will Munchak step up to OC? Are we going to see a lot more clapping with Jason Garrett calling our plays?

And yet - Tom McMahon is still Special Teams coach.

I didn't figure this - It looked to me like the Broncos would want to have Scangarello and Lock grow up together.

Unless the Broncos hire someone who can use the same playbook and terminology - it seems like a damaging thing to do with Lock's development.

I agree Mingo.

Makes me wonder if something happened - maybe even this weekend - that precipitated this change. Sunday afternoon during the playoffs seems like a strange time...

Whoever they hire, I hope he comes with some experience and immediate respect of the players.

Pat Shurmer’s name being brought up by a number of people including Woody Paige, Mike Garofolo, and Ian Rappaport among others.

Shurum’s offense was great when he was in Minnesota.

Something tells me Shurmer will go back to Minnesota now that they need a new OC too.

They were at a New Year's Party only to find out Fangio rooted for the Capuletes and Scangarello rooted for the Montagues?

That would leave Kubiak (without Dennison).

Shurmer might go back to Minnesota but the dynamic has changed with Kubiak there.

Time will tell if this is the right decision but as of right now keeping Scangarello seems like the right call.

This smells like John Elway move (he was the one who wanted Scangarello if I remember correctly anyway).

Don’t know if there’s any truth to it and they’ve heard something or if they’re just speculating, but Sports Illustrated has the top three candidates as;

Pat Shurmur
Norv Turner
Jason Garrett
