I’m still processing Jalen Hurts being mentioned in this conversation and it NOT being a punchline. If you followed Alabama OKla or the Eagles you knew this kid would put the work in. But projecting that he would be capable of what he’s shown so far was a huge reach. Eagles fans came into the season thinking they had a nice roster with a manageable schedule and that if they could have Hurts take care of the football and manage a game they could win 10-11 games. If this is Hurts going forward, expectations go way up. This has been like when you’re a kid and you come down Christmas morning and you get some awesome gift you weren’t expecting.
Josh Allen's running ability puts him over the top game to game. Lit up 2 top 10 type of defenses.
Mahomes has legitimately worked his way out of four or five sacks this year and probably made some of his best throws climbing the pocket. Lit up a bottom 10 defense and had a mixed game against a top 10 defense. Jury still kinda out on MVS and Juju but they were non factors against the Chargers.
Rodgers and Brady just trying to manage the season with who they have best I can tell. No point in questioning how good Brady is. He'll either be scary good in the playoffs or totally checked out and basically retired. Probably the former. Packers look a WR short.
Lamar is playing well but the Ravens offense as a whole isnt firing on all cylinders. Ravens got a KR TD against Miami and 2 Ints. A couple of huge plays. Mediocre outside of that. Lamar is still in the mix to get the big bag so good for him.
Herbert is top tier talent. Trusts his talent a bit too much and sometimes gets him into trouble but he is young so thats to be expected.
Burrow...dear god. The offense is embarrassing for how much talent they have. I think they're the only team in history to go 0-2 when favored by 7+points in both games. If they aren't dropping 30+ points on the Jets then one of their coaches should probably get fired, Id imagine. Not too much shame in offensive dysfunction against the Steelers and Cowboys but they need to at least show they are ready to make a run against the Jets.
Tua and especially Hurts look great so far but they have a ton of talent around them and its early.
