That is loser mentality right there. Settling for average is what losers dream of. If you want to be a winner you have to make changes. Sometimes they dont work (Ever hear of 2 steps forward 1 step back). That is life for the adults in the room. Caldwell was a Rooney rule coach and nothing more.

He is flaming out so far for sure. Still better to try someone new then to stick with average with no chance of getting better. If he does not turn it around next year he will be gone. Then maybe the next guy/group that comes in might get us there. The bottom line is you dont stick with someone if there is no chance of it. If these guys dont contend next year then it will be obvious that they cant get us there and we take a chance on someone else.

I recall Caldwell being on the Hot Seat and the Lions rallied to save his job. Note that the Lions President came out and said "before" the playoff game that Caldwell would keep his job. Sorry, but I still believe the Lions only do enough to sell tickets.

Still didnt get the team to the championship. Heck only 1 lucky playoff appearance because Stafford pulled off 9 come from behind miracles in 1 year.
