Oh, they may have offered, but as soon as Notre Dame made outrageous demands, the B1G said FU.
Link?

BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
good one
They do. They did take in Nebraska, but they're embarrassed about it.
The Pac took in Oregon and let them stay, Lowly Nebraska at least has a few cfb natl titles and produces almost 4 times as much in research dollars than Oregon.
Well that explains it then. No way the Pac would have lowered themselves to taking you in otherwise,The PAC didn't take in Oregon. Oregon founded the PAC, along with Cal, UW, and Oregon State.

Even WSU brings in double in research bucks as Oregon, now THAT is embarrassing, lol.
Of course you'd want to avoid any talk of research money seeing as Oregon ranks among one of the WORST colleges on the planet when it comes to research rankings.Couldn't care less about research money, this is the CFB forum.
Still waiting on the dumbass @fredsdeadfriend to back up his assertions about the BigTen declining Notre Dame in the 90s.
We'll see about that. The non-blueblood teams in the big 12 aren't worldbeaters but they're definitely a step up in competition from the majority of the AAC. Throw in the "unknown" factor as well, there will be a lot of adjustments needed. It’s gonna take BYU and Houston some time in football. But Cincinnati and UCF are going to wreck havoc the moment they come through the door.
Not in hiding, just because Oregon is so pathetic and would consider joining up with Notre Dame to be some kind of fantasy dream and sh1t, doesn't mean The B1G doesn't have standards. We may have offered Notre Dame an invite to join the B1G, but what do you think Notre Dame said, simply yes or no, or do you think Notre Dame with their big TV contract came back with a counter offer with all kinds of stipulations that were not acceptable to the B1G Conference??? Duh, it's common sense.@fredsdeadfriend you going into hiding?

Your team got beat by a team who just got beat by Oregon. You probably shouldn't be saying Oregon is pathetic considering that fact. Not in hiding, just because Oregon is so pathetic and would consider joining up with Notre Dame to be some kind of fantasy dream and sh1t, doesn't mean The B1G doesn't have standards. Or do you think that there is another conference out there that is actually better than the B1G that NDm is waiting for to ask them? Go on, who could that be. The mighty ACC? lol

Yeah, Oregon is pathetic, as a university. Can't even bring in more than 60 mil? WOW, ouch, that's truly pathetic. But, but, but....RESEARCH DOLLARS

As a football factory, they are marginally better than Minnesota, for the moment. Probably won't change this year, but down the line? We'll see if PJ Fleck is all talk or not. He could be, and then Oregon will continue being marginally better than Minnesota in football which is something. I mean, obviously a football player will someday cure cancer and solve world hunger and bring about world peace, right? lol
No one cares about research dollars in the CFB forum.
Hey I could be wrong and they become TCU clones. It wouldn’t be anything wrong with that though. We'll see about that.
