I've seen a lot of power rankings and I think the cardinals are way too low in most projections. I would have them above seahawks right now.

honestly if I were doing ratings. I would be one of those under appreciating them. They definitely had a great game week 1, but I just cant buy into them to be a top team right now. Think they would have to continue to prove me wrong a few weeks, before I sit down to my plate of crow.

Can't really argue with any of that. I would say the bottom 5 will likely be there all year and could be in any order.

Your football knowledge exceeds your political knowledge. I rolled my eyes when I first saw the thread title but I have to say this is pretty accurate IMO.

I would flip the Cardinals and Steelers but I see the logic for the Steelers being so high.

Colts and to a lesser extent Panthers look too high. That might just be me.

I likely wouldn't drop the Colts too much. They lost to a solid contender. They will be in tough vs. the Rams too. It doesn't help that their starting LT is out. Tough schedule to start the season facing teams from the NFCW.

I would definitely rather play the Colts right now than the Niners, Cowboys or maybe Patriots. I think the Colts are limited offensively and the Rams might really show that.

Not a bad list. Few points.

Steelers are too high. Their defense played really well but their offense is still pretty suspect and Ben is well past his fresh date. I would probably swap them and the Browns who were a muffed punt away from beating the Chiefs.

I would swap the Bills and Cardinals. A little too much overreaction from week 1 with both of these teams. Packers moved way too far down and the Saints moved way to far up. Let's remember that the Saints beat the Bucs last year 38-3 as well.

Otherwise pretty good list.

Niners just gave up over 30 to the Lions who have nothing on offense. Their secondary is non-existent right now after their #1 CB just went down.

but it was garbage time points, when all defenses sit back not to give up big plays.
I personally rather have coaches let defense that are dominating keep doing so, vs. slack off & shift gears to dont lose the game mode.

It was after Jason Verrett got injured during the game and is now done for the year. The rest of their secondary is complete ass now. The only other capable corner they have Emmanuel Moseley but he is also injured and may or may not be back soon.

As for the rest of their corners:

• K'Wuan Williams is a 30-year-old, 5'9 slot corner.

• Deommodore Lenoir is a rookie fifth-round pick.

• Ambry Thomas is a rookie third-round pick.

• Dontae Johnson, who sucks.

• Josh Norman is cooked.

So if Hurts does well against the niners this week. It will be because the defense sucks ass?

They have a good pass rush, they just don't have a good secondary especially if Moseley is still out.

Was it really garbage time points when the Lions had the ball on the 20 and able to tie the game?

you talking about when they failed to tie the game? yes.
Everything from when the niners were up 38-10.

the defense (whole team actually) changed gears.
Seems like everytime a team goes from trying to win. to make sure we dont lose. they allow the other team to almost win games.

This is like Shanahan's calling card. Lets get a huge lead & see how close we can make the score by the end.

Sure they failed to tie the game, but I wouldn’t say when you are 20 yards from the end zone and able to tie the game if you score still being garbage time.
