I was a junior when it happened.

I was pissed because Colorado beat us. Me and my roommates were hanging out, drinking beer and watching a movie afterwards. One guy had a cell phone and it kept ringing. We were doing alright so he let it go. Eventually he answered and that was the news.

I believe I was in the 7th grade when that happened. It was huge news. I grew up about 80 miles NE of Stilly and Bartlesville has a HUGE alum base since it's basically an Engineering and Ag town.

So back in 98 I believe coming back from a basketball game against Colorado, one of our planes crashed killing ten people, players and staff from the basketball team.

It was a big deal
