Nelson's agent says they will explore free agency. They are willing to negotiate with the Bengals but Nelson will be a free agent. Wave bye bye. Somebody will pay him. Welcome to the Taylor Mays era.

This is why the Bengals always have holes to fill. Instead of being cheap, not frugal, but cheap they should spend the money to keep their roster intact instead of letting players go then scrambling to find a cheaper less talented replacement. Damn this makes me mad!

You've been a Bengal fan for how long? You're just getting mad now?

This is nothing new. This is not surprising. This is business as usual. This will always be business as usual. It will never change. Not ever. There literally is no hope. Zero. Deal with it.

It's not even about the money, but the chance to win a championship. Bengals offered Joseph more money last year than the Texans (per joseph), but he said he thought the Texans had a better organization to win a championship. Can you disagree?

If a winning team like Green Bay, New York, etc....offers Nelson even 2mil less a year, you don't think he would take that? It's more than just throwing the money at the player. The players have to believe that this team is going to compete week in and out for a championship. A mindset that the big brass don't share. They simply want to be competitive, and have said that for 20+ years now.

Joseph was making big money anyways, and had already made big money being a 1st rounder. And there wasn't a substantial difference in Cincinnati's offer versus Houston's. Nelson on the other hand will already only be in the $4-5 million range, so I don't see him taking another $2 million less to go to a winning team.
