Can we all come together now and agree that it is a stupid ass rule? Refs are allowed to call all kinds of ticky tack shit that could be called on every play on both sides yet the NFL does not think they are good enough to know when a WR catches a ball controls it and gets 2 feet down.

I like the rule as it is. It takes the guesswork out of the rule, for the most part. I never liked the previous rule where one week it would be a catch and the next week it wouldn't.
