Redskins signed G Wes Schweitzer, formerly of the Falcons, to a three-year, $13.5 million contract.
The 26-year-old will get a chance to compete with current Redskins LG Wes Martin following Ereck Flower's departure to Miami. Schweitzer made 36 starts for the Falcons over the last three seasons, most recently allowing just two sacks across 697 offensive snaps at various positions on the interior of Atlanta's O-line. He'll hit free agency again at the ripe age of 29.

hey they get a guy with starting experience if Martin doesn't work out. Cheap deal for a decent player. Young player.

2 sacks in 700 snaps makes the new guy (I’m guessing) the #2 olineman on our team in terms of allowing qb pressure.

I dont know what that says about our squad, but I do know that sherff was hurt, moses was bad, donald penn was super old, and flowers is now a dolphin.

IF we can add Cordy Glenn at LT its not that bad.

I’d also add that they sigbed this guy for a very very reasonable contract. He sounds like a Nsheke type of lineman - a “1A”
kind of guy.

Better than nothing.

Seems like a smart versatile player - but not a great athlete. Center might be his best position. Good depth. Hopefully Martin beats him out.
