Apparently he was on the Skins Practice Squad the last three games.

Thanks for the info. Don't see him beating out Redd or Thompson. I like what I saw from Redd, but I do think this team will miss Helu unless we can pick up a speedster in the draft. Thompson appears to be too small to run between the tackles and last year had issues with waiting for his blockers.

Probably for competition. SM has been quite vocal about that at all positions.
