I see 6-10 as of right now at this moment and I am being incredibly generous IMO

Based on the schedule, right now, I think the Skins absolute max ceiling is 7-9

I will say this. The years I expect the skins to go 6-10 or worse they usually finish 8-8 or 9-7

the years I expect to skins to finish 10-6 are the years they usually end up going 5-11 so maybe this season without a shred of hope they surprise and finally exceed 9 wins? go 10-6?

i doubt it but you never know

Assuming NT at 13 and RB at 44 I'll go 8-8.

Hankins may change that, but not much.

6-10 is in play for sure.

I think NT and RB will be addressed. Who do you see the 8 wins coming against? I'm not being critical of your assessment just curious

By acqiring Smith and giving up Fuller I assumed they thought they were a couple of pieces away and would be much more aggressive in FA. I was wrong. The Smith trade was in part, getting the next best thing to Kirk, but also a PR move.

Right now based on who we play, and where our roster stands, even with good health this looks like a 3-5 win team. But that is subject to change based on where our final roster for the season winds up as well as the actual outlay of the schedule which wont be determined for another month plus.

IM going to say 6-10 with at least 4 of the ten losses coming in as seven point or less losses.

DAL, NYG, HOU, IND, TB, TN, AZ...50/50 on CAR

Take away DAL and CAR and we are 6-10.

We were a 10 win team last year if the o-line, Reed, Thompson, Allen and Norman for a month don't go down. Everyone else around us got much better though. We kinda stood pat imo.

I agree. I think with good health the skins were absolutely a 10 win team last year..

I also think the skins got significantly worse this offseason. I think Alex Smith to Cousins is more of a downgrade then most people who already think its a downgrade think.

I think its all about the PR with the redskins.

Alex Smith was an absolute PR move and I saw the rest of the offseason taking 2 courses... PR related

1) super aggressive in offseason. Put a better team around AS and sell hype
2) be super quiet in free agency. Sell the savings and compensatory picks to fans.

Best case scenario, you get Hankins, Breeland and the Skins have a change of heart, trade back and get Guice or Michel and pick up a 2nd or 3rd. Somehow somebody folds and gives us a 3rd for Sua take the trade back pick and the Sua pick and draft a LG and another WR.

There are still moves to be made, but they are longshots.

yep the offseason is far from over.

There are definitely good moves to be made. I just dont have faith that the front office will be able to make those moves...

for what its worth I liked the Richardson signing, though I think they need to add another receiver.

Hard to tell since you don't know how injuries and suspensions will affect various teams (e.g. Skins last season or Packers w/o Rodgers for many games). You also don't know how rookies will develop & how several of these QBs will adjust w/ their new teams.

That being said I am happy w/ the schedule since it gives me a chance to attend games from where I currently live. Nashville is only a few hours away, NO not much further (although I still have the depressing memories of attending the game there last season) & even the FL games are a possibility.

You have us beating Houston? I assume Deshaun Watson is hurt by then?

Dallas and the NYG. I get it but i doubt it.

Tennessee? I think that is borderline insane at this point.

Carolina is going to run over us.

Right now...we are the worst team on our schedule.

I really can't argue about wins and losses in March. Lol At first glance that's what I got. 8-8 to 6-10.

You're smoking crack if you think that the redskins will go 6-10. They can go 6-10 if they have the same amount of injuries they had last year, which they won't.

The offensive line is good and is extremely well coached.
The defensive line is ok, and is also extremely well coached.
The qb is, at worst, adequate. He excels at "off schedule" plays, and also excels at the short range passing game.

Injuries will play a major role, as they do every season.

Assuming they continue to prudently address needs in free agency and the draft , 8-8 at worst.

The offensive line is good and is extremely well coached. We cannot run the football so, how good are we?
The defensive line is ok, and is also extremely well coached. Worst run defense in NFL so, how good are we?
The qb is, at worst, adequate. He excels at "off schedule" plays, and also excels at the short range passing game. The QB play should remain the same.

Injuries will play a major role, as they do every season. For our team, yes.

While I am in agreement on some of the above, I also question your assessment as well. 5-6 win team at best.

I'll take a shot. I think the skins get 8 or 9 wins this season.

Imo, the team has too much talent in key, Smith-friendly positions (OG, OT, TE, pass-catching RB) to finish with less than 6 wins.
