Polanco needs to make an adjustment to his slide. He wasn't off the base for long, but with slow-motion replay that tiny instant can be captured.
I thought he got his hand to the bag quickly enough that Phillips's tag may not have beaten it, but the evidence was deemed sufficient to call Polanco out.
Leake is getting strike calls that, if Cole had gotten the same call in the first (on a pitch more in the zone, in fact), it would have been a 1-run inning instead of a 4-run inning.
Harrison whiffed Votto's single, and he ends up at third. Walker had a chance to get him, but the throw was way off line. An even decent one probably nails Votto.
Strange the way the Reds have been able to hit the Pirates pitchers. I don't know if it's luck, or they have some info that the rest of the league doesn't have.
