Assuming Redden clears and is assigned to the AHL, once the season starts, if the Rags put Redden on re-entry waivers, at 3.25 M, I could see him being claimed.

It's 2010 Dash. Mike Milbury and Kevin Lowe are no longer employed as NHL GMs. :D

Besides that I just don't see him coming back up until the playoffs (if the Rangers make it, of course).

a team that is missing the playoffs can still claim him to add a little pressure to the Rags' cap space.
(or a team that makes the playoffs, for that matter, but they just can't use him this season)

I don't know even 2010 Redden might be better than some of the players on the Sharks D (Huskins *cough cough* Wallin)...
