How shall my travel weather be?

Leaving Dakota Dunes SD around 2:00 pm cdt...... Arriving at Np around 6:30 pm cdt.....


Depending on road conditions....

I hear about some possibility of ice... but you are the resident meteorologist.....

I'm no meteoroligist but I have access to some pretty good models.

I assume you speak of tomorrow..

It's gonna get icy west of York tonight into tomorrow morning. You didn't tell me what route you'll take so I'll assume I-29 south to 80.
If you're leaving Sewer City at 2:00pm you won't see potential trouble spots until 4:30pm. By then (with the traffic of the day) the roads should be dry from evaporation.

Dress warm..

Thanks sir....... I'm flexible to routes....... I will be watching 511 online and make my route from there......


I've taken I-29 I-80..... hwy77-I-80, Hwy 20- hwy 81- hwy 30 to gi- I-80...

I've also snaked my way across the north, going through elgin, burwell, arnold- that took about 7 hours- but it was better than driving on a inch of ice on I-80- I had dry roads the whole way..... had 20 miles of snow by sioux city...

Yeah I know..... but there's times I'd rather drive on a icy highway than a not icy interstate.......

I feel safer sometimes that way...

You should be ok by the time you go anyway..

Actually sir it does.....

Especially with my add-a-leafs.....


My weight distribution without anything in the back is about 75 percent on the steer axle and 25 on the rear..... therefore the rear is more prone to "coming around" evening it out as close to 50/50 preferably some rear bias- say 60 rear 40 front- will help me keep her pointed straight......

Pulling rather than pushing keeps it straight.

Whether that be front wheel drive or 4 wheel drive.

What I mean by weight not helping you is stopping.

If you're on ice take it slow.
