I don't know, from what I've seen he's got skills. Hell he popped in a hatty in his first NHL game, that's no accident (Although didn't Parrish do the same thing for Dallas a few years ago, not as a rookie but in a late season contract?).
He's got plenty of competition, but if he's willing to work on his game in GR or skilled enough to beat out a regular, why not bring him aboard? Personally I'd rather see some grit and toughness up front, but no biggie.
