Not much activity here on the USC side but wanted to get opinions on the recruiting. I had a friend forward me this twitter pic showing Juju and Damien Mama and another wearing SC gear. No word on verbals but a good sign I would say. Anyone know who the other player is? I'm guessing it was taken at a visit recently.

If it was taken on a visit you have to expect the kids to put on the jersey and take pictures. I'm holding out hope that Notre Dame can get the kid but I think he'll end up at USC. If the Irish can't get Smith hopefully they can get Quick play makers are always wanted.

I'm hoping you are wrong with Smith and Quick or at least one.

I was right about Quick, right about JuJu and wrong about Mama and Adoree but in a good way for my team. Even passed ND on Rivals. Good day to be a Trojan

Very happy with the recruiting class. To finish in the top 10 while only being able to recruit 19 is a very good sign!!

I hear you. Next year with the ability to get a full class SC can start getting back those players they normally would have gotten ( without the sanctions) that have gone to UCLA , Oregon and Arizona the past four years.

Hey , question for you. Who would you like to see at QB this season? Do you think CK can beat out Max and keep the job?

Yeah, I think Kessler will given every opportunity to keep the job. He improved a lot last year. One thing Kiffin did right (although he was late about it) was naming Kessler as the starter.

We'll see though, Max is supposed to be the real deal. I like that Sark is making every position, open competition like Pete did.

We have the talent to fulfill Sark's expectation of competing for the PAC title this year, we'll see if we have the depth.

I was one of those who didn't understand what the loss of depth would do. I figured if NFL teams can play with 54 (I think thats the roster size) then a college team can play with 70ish. But Playing and playing at the higest level are two different things. We saw the defense especially wear down as the season played on an when multiple starters went down with injuries the lack of quality replacements killed them. Hopefully a little luck in the injury dept this year.
As far as the QB situation. I was pissed that after having the two QBs for two years the spring camp and the fall camp and LK still didn't pick one to start the season. I told ND fans one year when they had a similar situation that as Lou Holtz once said "If you have two starting QBs you don't have one" and I was pulling my hair out when LK couldn'd pull the trigger. I felt he gave away the season right there. I can't knock Kessler much for last year I think he was put in a difficult situation but I'm not sold that he can make all the throws and I don;t know if he can learn the little things like not staring down his main target.

I hope our board picks up once we get back to competing for national championships again. OregonDuck posts more about SC than anyone. Little brother syndrome I guess.

USC fans just don't post as much as other teams fans. Oregon fans are new to college football success so they are all hyped even though they really havent' won anything while SCs been on walk about. But I like the jawing back and forth. I hope to see a few more Trojans here during the season. I work with an architectural firm often that is all SC grads so not lacking for Trojan talk but it's nice to see a few here on the boards. We So cal fans get a bad rap but I was at a Dodger game the other day and they showed the Kings game and I thought about the sporting events I go to every year. Usually 4 SC home games , the ND game in South bend , what ever Bowl SC is in, about 15 Dodger games about 4 Kings games and about 3-5 laker games. But I'm told i'm not a good sports fan.lol

Define "success," please. :laugh3:

I was trying to be nice. lol. For them One rose bowl win and some top five finishes is great success ( in their minds). I pointed out in another thread on the main section that USC won four rose Bowls in the eight years prior to Oregon one and only (since 1917). Also that if Oregon won the next 20 Rose Bowls they would still trail USC. Cold hard fact.

Your craps weak...don't even have a team banner

National Championships , Heisman Trophies . You should take a trip to LA and see what they look like. I don't need no stinking banner!

I really wouldn't care if it was or is blank. It's not what I'm here to see.
