Tommy Armstrong got knocked out today in practice (literally). Concussion or something related, nobody posted that in the fall camp thread? I thought it deserved its own....the hells going on with all these injuries?


Also, that kid from Grand Island started working with the first string instead of Stanton. Sooooooo uh, apparently Stanton is our 3rd string atm...

Haven't seen any official reports yet, Bo said he was 'just dinged up' but I heard he was knocked out completely unconscious by Cooper and left the practice to seek medical attention. We should hear more in the next day or two on how serious the hit was.

Adam Taylor, one of our back up RB's also broke his ankle too. This fucking blows. We are going to be depleted like the SEC EAST before the season fucking starts.

We don't know what the injury was with Armstrong. Bo said he got a little dinged up and Sipple said he looked a little woozy.

We don't know what the injury with Taylor is either. The press said he was taken off the field with some kind of ankle/foot injury.

Hope he's okay but honestly I take that as good news. 1) Our defense who in the past was supposed to be looking good couldn't stand up against a strong wind.To hear that we can shake someone up (assuming it was the line) sound really good to me, sorry T.A.
And 2) there is some contact in practice. In the past that was questioned. Hopefully we can find a happy medium so some of these guys will make it to September.

I disagree. The pulling qbs before there is even time to get a rhythm going killed us. I would of never had a problem with TM being the guy no matter what if he had shown ability to become a leader and to stand up under pressure. The qb needs to know that he can have a few mistakes, a bad game and he is going to still be the guy. The team needs to know that.

Right now Armstrong is the guy and from what I understand he can throw the ball on a rope and he can also option. If he can do that and show consistency leave him in, and and we will grow with him.

If he can't sit him down and put the next guy in. But let's get someone who can grow and then give him the time to grow. Then let the back up be a back up. Put him in when the situation is in hand or the starters not able to get it done anymore.

I'd like to see the Huskers get a big enough lead that all 3 QBs can play. With TM, the injuries came quick and often, we need the back ups to prove themselves - but I do agree with not pulling Tommy if he makes a couple mistakes, but if his overall game isn't above par or he gets really dinged up, then give the next guy a shot...
