My ever changing point of view:

Game 1 - A GREAT team that came out flat, didn't adjust properly to a new offensive scheme. An AVERAGE Defense showed its weakness, particularly with rookie players on secondary. Optimistic about season down the stretch and ability to reach 10 -6.

Game 2 - A GOOD team that underperformed against a very high powered offense. A POOR defense, beginning to think we might be in real trouble on this side of the ball... Still optimistic down the stretch...maybe 9 wins...

Game 3 - An AVERAGE/MEDIOCRE team that is underperforming in all phases of the game. A PUTRID defense that can stop nothing. Probably due to talent, scheming and coaching or some combination of all three but who really cares? They are epically and historically bad.

Did see improvement on offense, but afraid that by the time we can compete with other teams, it will likely be too late for this season. Still optimistic that there CAN and WILL be improvement down the stretch, but don't see this as a team that will compete this year for anything other than a .500 season. This is a bitter pill to swallow, but seemingly more realistic than my previous optimism...

Better see a win this Sunday or all hell is about to break loose.

I had the Skins with 9 wins to begin the season. With a complete turn around and long stretches of wins ... sure, it's possible.

I think you hit the nail on the head tho. Fans had such high expectation, 12+ wins etc, and have now swung to the total opposite end of the spectrum calling for peoples heads.

Yeah, I had them at 10 wins but would not have been surprised to see them take a step back and only win 8 or 9. Thought 2014 was going to be the break out year. I'm still in "wait and see mode" to assess the true nature of this team. It will be alot more obvious once we have a 6 game sample size. Having been a fan of this team since before the 80's good years, I'm accustomed to tempered optimism and extreme patience...lol.

Griffins ability to play healthy glossed over much last season. An injured Orakpo, Carriker, Davis, a RT who wouldn't start for any other team in the league, an aging Fletcher, no secondary, no FA $$. Welcome back to reality.

But, having waited 20+ years to finally find a franchise quarterback ... I can wait one more season to become relevant long term.

That is why I stay away from predictions. Actually - I viewed next season as a better chance for the Skins since they will have more cap room in the offseason.

The only real head I am calling for is Jim Haslett. This has more to do with next season than this one. The ultimate nightmare is seeing this clown here in another few years with a subpar defense. It could actually happen due to the loyalty of Shanahan which is a definite negative in this case. Honestly - what can we do to get this guy off the team at least by the end of the season?

Yep - that is a great point. People have short memories & forget that one of the bigger concerns during the offseason was having RG3 healthy long term. At least he appears to be smart in this area & I feel pretty confident that he will be around for a long time. We should all be happy about this (need to be positive about something).

i had us at 10-6 and competing for a playoff spot . right now that is delusional

haslett has to coach that defense better . how do Rak and kerrigan get shut out ? tackling is horrible .

a lot of this is coaching

on offense we are leaving makeable plays on the field (robby ) (Rg3)

i cant predict us to beat the raiders at this point

We just need to get a win under our belt. That will go a long way to cure the issues on this team. Oak will be a good place to start and then the bye week could not come at a better time. 2 weeks to prepare for Dallas. I had it as a loss on my preseason predictions but we have to steal a couple that we did not think we could at the beginning of the year. I do not think we have a talent issue. It is a lack of confidence issue. We saw it last year. We beat some good teams down the stretch to make the playoffs. We just need to get that spark back.

Yes! We just have to get a least a win. The schedule isn't going to get any easier.
