It's RBI's and people just sound stupid saying "he was 2-3 with 3 RBI". Kinda makes me upset when I hear it, just annoying

I always say RBI's, but it doesn't bother me that others say RBI as plural. It is technically correct, but it feels awkward to say.

No

Runs Batted In is already plural, therefore you can say someone had 3 RBI.

you wouldn't say 3 Runs Batted Ins....

It's RBI's (Exhibit A) and people just sound stupid saying "he was 2-3 with 3 RBI" (Exhibit B). Kinda makes me upset when I hear it, just annoying

Both are right. In a sentence, RBI becomes its own word and needs to be made plural. In statistics, it's only a unit of measurement and doesn't need to be plural. Both A and B are correct uses in the context of your sentence.

No

The stat itself is singular, therfore you should say someone had 3 RBI's

Its also assumed that RBI stands for Runs batted in.

you wouldn't say a Runs Batted In
