Brown seems to be a scat-back type (think CT), whereas Kelly and Perine are bruiser types (think Alfred Morris/ Ricky Ervins). I hope that you get what I mean by that and maybe agree that ....that could be the reason why we're seeing more of those two.

Funny how things work out though.....you could be right, and a Mack Brown type runner could be just what this offense needs to make it even more dynamic. BTW: he and CT favor in stature as well. I wonder if they don't believe that he'll hold up carrying a full load.

Never know unless you try. I'd like to see him get more of a chance. Every year it seems as though the coaching staff raves about him, why not give him a shot? Especially since Perine hasn't been spectacular.

He may be or may not be. I am sure that the coaches will give him a try at this time. I would just caution about building the guy up too much rt now. The backups are always overly hyped - same type of things were being said about Perine previously. I honestly believe that the eventual star RB for this team won't be acquired until next offseason at the earliest.

I also wouldn't give up on Perine at this time. There have been several RBs who initially had fumbling problems who went on to do very well. Morris was like this during the first few games in 2013 & went on to have a stellar year. Ditto for Tiki Barber during his prime w/ the Giants.

Don't get me wrong here, I would like to see what Mack Brown can do in this offense, But I know Perine, followed him since high school, and right now, we're NOT seeing anything close to the talent that he possesses. Right now, I'd give fewer carries to Kelly, not Perine, just to see what Brown does when given the opportunity.

That said, I still think that the coaches consider him as having the same injury risk potential as Thompson.

Just watch Perine's highlight clips in college. The kid has talent and strength. Its too early to give up on him. However, he is overwhelmed at this point and cannot be trusted in critical situations. He does not run anything like he did in college right now. Not only is he fumbling, but he is missing holes and his timing with his blockers is off. We need to find places to work him in, but he is not ready right now. Give him 8-12 snaps the next few games so he can get his feet under him. Increase it as he starts to get the feel of the offense and the blocking scheme. I'm not ready to label him the next Matt Jones, but he needs to figure this out soon or we will be looking for his replacement next year.

Why does he need to figure it out soon? I firmly believe we need to get back to giving players time to develop and not give up on them within their first year as redskins. Give Perine time to learn, don't thrust him into a starting role before he is ready.

That's why I think the redskins should try Mack brown right now, see what he can do given an opportunity. He's been on the roster longer, if he has something to show then this should be his time.

No...we should give up on him like we should have given up on Matt Ionidis and Preston Smith.
