Lot's of the time you don't even know you have a warrant. Lot's of the time tickets just slip your mind. It won't be a league violation or anything, he's not a criminal because he forgot to pay his tickets or missed a couple of classes. Nothing to worry about fellas.

I'm just glad he got stopped at 2 am and wasn't drunk driving.

This strikes me as something his agent should have handled so it wouldn't slip through the cracks.

First Aldon's DUI, Ray's arrest.... what's next?

Michael Crabtree caught on the streets as a local Drag Queen?

Doesn't sound like the sort of thing that would result in a suspension, assuming he met the terms of his program and simply forgot to file them. Let's hope that's the case, though even if not I wouldn't think it would be a huge issue.

Wouldn't this technically count as a 2nd arrest, though?

I believe so- that's my biggest concern. Could mean a 1 game suspension. Losing both Smith and McDonald for 1 game wouldn't be too cool.

I don't know how the league would view it, honestly. It would seem silly if it gets resolved. To clarify, it's a second arrest stemming from the same act, in essence. We'll see what develops, but if it was a clerical oversight - i.e., he did everything he was supposed to, he just didn't get the paperwork filed - it would be very ticky-tacky to suspend him on those grounds.

In Sunnyvale? Sounds like he was pulled over for DWB. Dreadlocked black men in nice cars get special attention from the popo there.

As long as it wasn't the same game I think it wouldn't matter too much.

It would be the 1st game of the season for both of them I would think. I guess these things can be drawn out for quite some time through the legal process though......
