Would anyone be opposed in bringing this guy in next year in a backup role to Gore (with the intent to share the load with Hunter in the future as our #1 backs)?
Steelers done with Mendenhall?

Rashard Mendenhall | Steelers
According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Ed Bouchette, not only will running back Rashard Mendenhall be inactive again in Week 15, but he has actually been suspended this week for "conduct detrimental to the team" by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
"The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has learned that Mendenhall did not show up for last Sunday's game at Heinz Field against the San Diego Chargers after his coaches told him he would not be active for the game," Bouchette wrote.
The club signed Baron Batch off their practice squad to replace Mendenhall this week. Jonathan Dwyer will be the lead back again with Isaac Redman and Chris Rainey spelling him when needed.
What does this mean for Mendenhall's future with the Steelers? ESPN AFC North blogger Jamison Hensley thinks this move likely signals the end of their relationship:

Steelers suspend Mendenhall for one game
"The benching was an indication Mendenhall was in the doghouse. The suspension indicates he likely will not be back with the Steelers next season, and the Steelers really have no reason to want him back. He was hurting the team on the field, and now he's a distraction in the locker room. Mendenhall, the team's leading rusher for the previous three seasons, has battled injuries (offseason knee surgery and an Achilles injury) but hasn't been effective when healthy. He is third on the team this season with 113 yards rushing and has averaged 3.3 yards per carry. It would be surprising to see the Steelers try to retain Mendenhall, the 23rd overall pick in the 2008 draft. He is an unrestricted free agent after the season. The Steelers have gone with Jonathan Dwyer as their starter and Isaac Redman as the backup. Dwyer and Redman are both restricted free agents in 2013. It's also possible the Steelers will select a running back early in the 2013 draft."
