It's hard for me to fear an LSU team whose top running back gets 42 yards on 12 carries against Northwestern State....and whose 2nd leading rusher was the QB, who is not exactly know for his golden legs.

I didn't see either team play this week but I'm getting the impression that LSU and Texas beat the shit out of the each other to the point neither might get healthy before the season is over. Great game though and wish we had more like it.

Meh, neither could run the ball in that one either. I don't think LSU has a running back on the roster that starts on any other SEC team. If they do they are keeping him under super secret squirrel lock and key.

Yea, the fact that LSU doesn’t have a running back that is a real threat being the reason a Bama fan isn’t concerned (to be blunt) is stupid as hell. LSU has tried to run the ball at Bama for 8 straight years and hasn’t really come close to winning. So regardless whether or not the RB statement is true, it is a bad take.

I'll remind you of that when you can't throw the ball either because you are one-dimensional, with a QB and RB's that no one has to bother accounting for. We aren't Northwestern Bumfuck State or Texas for that matter. I guess it will depend on if you like 10-0 better than 54-23. How's that for a take.

I mean if fournette can't do it, who can???

Defense looked a little weak today though and injuries are piling up

Defense is definitely a concern. Truth is I don’t know how good this team is. One win against Texas doesn’t change the fact that the Tigers are winless against Bama the past 8 years. LSU today is a better team than LSU a year ago. Other than that, the defense is too much of a concern for my liking.

I don't know if you've noticed, but you guys aren't running the ball so far this year either. :noidea:

I meant Bama's. Carolina was really moving on them.

When you are explosive on offense and mostly throw it around you have to view defense slightly different. It's about getting key stops and turnovers. You're gonna give up yards.

LSU’s defense has to get settled to idea that they may need to quickly get back onto the field. It is a new concept for an LSU defense. Is that the reason for deficiencies on defense? Probably not by itself, but it is something Aranda has to get the Tiger defense ready for before the Tigers are considered true contenders.

Yeah, we get a 340lb first round road grader back after next week and can shuffle our offensive line back to where people should be playing...what's LSWho gonna do...

As are you. You might enjoy it more when you score some points this year, but the end result will be equally hollow and meaningless. But hey, there's always next year.

UNC doesn't have a 340lb first round road grader on their roster but they were able to rush for more yards than y'all against the coots.
