I like the Huskies. I doubt they could contend with Bama or OSU but their recruiting is already improving this cycle. I could see them becoming Clemson-type program. 10+ wins each year with a special season sprinkled in.
Wouldn't that be and FSU?

Hopefully our highly ranked kicker Quinn Nordin (#1 in last year's class) recovers from his injury prior to hitting the hardest games left (MSU and OSU). I'm not too worried about how our offense performed against Wisconsin. Wisconsin's defense is legit. Add a kicker who can make simple field goals -- we win that game 23-7.
Was his injury sleepover-related?

I won't lie I'm still confused to how Washington got so good during the off-season? Did I miss something? View attachment 149161

Heard a stat about Washington yesterday that was pretty interesting. During the Stanford (aka Offensive Lineman U) Washington only blitzed once (and that play was nullified by penalty) the whole game and the Huskies still got something like 6 sacks.
Not just the maturing of Browning and the other freshman that started last year, but also a few other key tweaks. New WR coach that has so far eradicated the mental issues that plagued that unit last year.

And we cannot say enough about the absolute emergence of Psalm Wooching. He is the defensive player of the week in college football with 3 of those sacks. He's a 5th year Sr (I think) that came in as a fullback and was converted over to linebacker I think in his soph season, but his temper and lack of focus left him not seeing much game time. Someone lit him up and last year he started to emerge. He's now just a fierce and focused tackling machine.

Still an offense with more sophomore starters than upperclassmen. And they still make young mistakes. They have a lot of the pieces you need to make a run, but not much experience handling the spotlight and pressure of that kind of a run and some questions about depth so injuries could very much be an impact.

Just get by the ducks, even ugly. Start there.

Is Willingham still on the committee? Because if it comes down to it, that dick owes us one...

You left off Western Michigan (5-0), whose chances are low for getting into the playoffs, but they could finish the regular season 12-0.
