Only the Rangers can send out veteran pitchers with one or two career saves to save games in April and have over a 200 million dollar payroll.
I have to admit I was concerned about him coming in. Glad we got the split.Glad Quantrill worked out.
I have been singing the praises of Jung for the past week. He is just trying to hit the ball where it's pitched. This is the Jung we needed because he is such a good defensive player. This was the best win of the young season because we didnt want to go into Seattle losing 3 straight. Secondly the offense battled back late in a game we really needed.
Thirdly Josh Jung may have just turned things around. He had been showing positive signs prior to this game so I am happy for him.
The A's coming into this series had taken 2 out of 3 from the Yankees and Astros and swept the Mets. This is a long and difficult road trip.No matter how good or bad the A’s are, the Rangers have had a hard time with them over the last several years.
Did a good job today!Burger also has gotten very little love on this board but he has done very well since his slump a few weeks ago.
I also follow the Rockies and they are literally incapable of not swinging. 15 Ks in Houston last night. The lack of hits mixed in with the walks is hurting our offense. We just don't have enough good hitters. Taking walks is the only thing some of these guys can do, at times.
I agree. The Rangers wouldn’t have has many wins without him. Hope he can keep it up.Burger also has gotten very little love on this board but he has done very well since his slump a few weeks ago.
Thanks. Going to the NFL hall of fame tomorrow.Travel safe friend
The next inning Teodo walked one. He had 4 pitches, I believe, above 100 MPH in his 1.2 innings. Overall, he thres 27 strikes and 14 balls.Teodo reached 101 MPH this evening. So far he has given up 2 singles and no earned runs in .2 innings with 1 strikeout. 12 strikes and 5 balls. I imagine he will go back out again.
