We will loose some games while leading if we do not find a closer. Garcia is just not the answer.
His efforts in the WBC didn’t give me much confidence. His efforts through 3 games - even less.

Would be cool if he could get it together just to beat Houston again
I’ll never root against the guy.

And yeah - if he were to haunt Houston a few time this season I’d approve.

Hopefully we get a repeat of last year with our staff less a true closer.
As you have discussed many times this could gave been addressed much better this past offseason.
Why spend 4 mill on C.Martin who lost too many critical games last year and will be turning 40 soon.
Would have ponied up a little more money for Shawn Armstrong who is 4 years younger. He is only getting 1.6 million a year more with Cleve. He did a fine job last year.
Armstrong would not have been my first choice but the team told us they had to shed some payroll so we are back where we started last year. I hope Winn or Baumler can emerge and can finish games in the 9th.
Just dont want C.Young sending 3 of our top 10 prospects at the deadline for a rental reliever

Really surprised that we took 2 out of 3. Nice start.
I am not surprised at all. I have this team winning 92-95 games. Think Skip will not be hard headed like Bochy and wait too long to make a change that deems necessary.
I am also expecting Burger to have a bounce back year and Nimmo to be an upgrade over Garcia.
Have accounted for games missed by Seager or possibly some time missed by either JDG or Evo.
Now if one of these 3 guys misses extended time or possibly a 60 day disabled visit then of course my expectations would be lowered.

Baumler has some good stuff but his control is awful. He was putting way too many men on base. If Adolis had just stood there with his bat on his shoulder the bases would have been loaded. I am with you on Chris Martin. We could have done better.

He's also a rookie, what do you expect?

Diaz has a decent outing in AAA and believe velo is up. Disposition wise maybe he is our hope

Garcia gets rattled and Martin losing stuff
Control issue for Baumler and Winn is not there yet
Church and Teodo are wild
Gavin C?

Yeah I saw that with Baumler. Little concerning. Like his future with us.. You know I thought by now Teodo would have been up with the club. Think he had some back issues last year.
Do think Gore looks promising. Hopefully he is more consistently good here.
