From Zach Bigley:

For those keeping score at home, that’s a foul ball at 115 mph, a single at 115 and a homer at 109 today for Sebastian Walcott

Dalto Pence threw 5 shutout innings for Round Rock today. He allowed 3 hits and 2 walks while striking out 1.

I had mentioned around a week ago that I think the Rangers had a shot but more at winning the division than the WC.
Thought surely one of the teams would get hot more so than Houston or Seattle

Yeah, the good thing is we have those 5 guys in Frisco along with Dalton Pence in Round Rock. We just have to do a fairly quick rebuild. Add a free agent or two this winter and then when other guys go off the books add a few more free agents down the road. By then we will know how many of the Frisco Five and guys like Langford, Freeman, Foscue, Osuna, Carter and Cauley we can count on, if any.

I would still like to try to trade some high priced veterans in order to speed up the rebuild.

Patience and a new philosophy of team building is of paramount importance.
Agree but they have to stick to the plan. Foscue, Freeman, Duran, Jung, and possibly Cauley off the bench. Seager isn't going anywhere and he's still a solid ss. Duran can play a good CF if needed. Those guys minus Seager are young and we need to stick with them along with injury prone Langford and Nimmo. I like Osuna but not his lack of power and I like Carter's defense but just isn't doing anything on offense.
Pitching is a whole other story.

I am not sure how much longer Seager can be considered a solid SS. For one thing you can't depend on him playing even 100 games. Then there are the prolonged slumps that are going to occur more and more frequently over the next two years. To me, he should not be in our end-of-rebuild plans.

Do we have any choice?

It won't be nearly as simple as it could have been a month ago, but a GM who really wanted to get it done could get it done.
I have no problem with us moving on without Seager but him having the say-so on being traded makes it difficult so for that reason if he is still with the Rangers he will be playing shortstop even if I don't want him to. I just wanted you know where I was coming from because I just don't see him being our DH even if I wanted him to be the DH and that I am not disagreeing what some have stated on this board.

CY should tell Seagar in the off season that they are going to move him to 1B or DH. Tell him if he doesn’t want to do it, he can waive his no trade clause.
He could also trade Eovaldi, Gore and a couple other guys and convince Seager that there is a rebuild underway.

I think we would need a different GM in order to get that done but I am all for it.

Yeah, I can't see CY doing anything besides signing another starting pitcher or two and gambling on some cheap bullpen pieces. He needs to go.

Yeah its going to be more of the same with CY. You gotta love these cheap bullpen pieces that eventually get the team late in games.
We need a different mindset at the helm to get this team heading in the right direction.

September callups coming soon. Wonder who gets selected

Either Osuna or Cam for position guy
Collyer makes alot of sense for the pitcher
