Make him GMI vote for Senator_Fan.
Not if it means we go back to playing like the old Washington Senators…Make him GM
Yeah, he will be fine, I think. Je said the other night that he rushed the pitch because the timer was almost to zero. He said he should have just stepped off or taken the automatic ball. Hopefully he learned from that. He is getting all of this out of the way now so he can become unflappable later on, hopefully. As soon as I bragged about Latz he falls apart in this series. He will get it back though.
Yeah, I get that. Over his last 8 games he has hit .417, though.Think I'll wait a game or two to see if it holds
We have had some relievers do well there. Gray, Acker, Sborz, Collyer, Ahlstrom and Diaz have done really good so far. Quantrill was awful in his first start, but really good in the other two.Our pitching at Round Rock hasn't been good for the most part. Church has been surprisingly bad.
Jung still chased but his swing looked better More in controlYeah, I get that. Over his last 8 games he has hit .417, though.
That 0 for 17 to begin this year was sandwiched in between him hitting .294 in his last 32 games last year and this present 8 game stretch. Overall in his last 169 at bats, he has hit .281, even with that 0 for 17 Included.
Burger is struggling as well. If we can just keep those in a slump down to one or two guys at a time.Seager is really struggling right now. Nimmo red hot and Carter on the rise
He has definitely looked bad lately.Burger is struggling as well. If we can just keep those in a slump down to one or two guys at a time.
If thats the Degrom we are going to get then I am looking forward to the rest of the season.. Everything thing is still there including his velocity. Him and Nimmo are the reason we avoided the sweep.Kudos to deGrom for an outstanding performance today.
We could definitely use another hitter. Still think Langford will be ok, but he has to get it going soon. Was optimistic over his HR right before he got hurt. This series reminded me of our 2010 team and the Giants in the World Series. I am not saying we are destined for the World Series, but for some reason I thought of the comparison. We had been pretty good coming into this series and came up against a team that happened to be the best team in the league and also better than us. Somehow that reminds me of our 2010 team facing the Giants.
Hopefully, that means we are a couple of tweaks away from being World Series contenders, but who knows at this point.
That 2010 team went from not being quite good enough to being the best team in baseball in 2011 by basically changing out a top notch pitcher for a top notch hitter. I wonder what that would do for this team. Add one great hitter and trade that for being not quite as dominant in the rotation. It sure worked 15 years ago.
