I’m on Facebook, but not X.
Funny I let my wife handle Facebook.

am only on Twitter not much else but this site
Figure Twitter is better for baseball and general news. I am on a Rangers group on Twitter as well
But yes if we are all on Twitter it might be a fail safe to keep up in case site crashes

Frisco and Hickory start theor seasons today and Hub City begins tomorrow.

Leandro Lopez starts for the RoughRiders. The Rangers eighth round draft pick from 2025, Evan Siary, gets the start for Hickory.

I am looking forward to Lopez showing he deserves a promotion to Roynd Rock, fairly quickly this year. He started 8 games for Frisco last year and put up a 2.78 ERA with a WHIP of 1.12. He struck out 43 and walked 15 in 35 innings.

I don't know much of anything about Siary, except he saw very limited action last year after he was drafted.

I am on both.

If the rest of the guys could open a Twitter account they wouldn't have to use it until this site goes down for good. Who knows, this site may outlive us all. Lol

Of course we could all share email addresses as well. Just some way of staying connected if we have to transition to another site, at some point. Not an alternative to this site, but a back up in case the owners here decide to retire.

Do you know how Cauley is doing so far.

He is hitting .267 in his first 18 plate appearances. His 4 hits are all singles. He also has 2 walks and 1 HBP. He hit .253 last year in AA.

Here is part of Scott Lucas' minor league report on last night's Round Rock game:

RP Marc Church: 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 SO
RP Patrick Murphy: 1 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 SO
RP Michel Otañez: 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 SO
CF Alejandro Osuna: 2-5
2B Justin Foscue: 1-3, 2B, BB
3B Tyler Wade: 2-3, 2B, BB

The Express trailed 6-0 nearly the entire game but managed to get the winning run to the plate in the 9th when Hayden Harris issued four walks and no one could field Justin Foscue's wind-blown pop or Alejandro Osuna's dribbler to second. With the bases loaded and two out, Cam Cauley swung through a couple of balls with the intent of ending the game, but he watched a very close strike three (confirmed via challenge) to end the game.

Marc Church offered a 95-98 fastball, an 86-88 slider and three upper-80s changes. Much his his success is premised on deception. He deals from a newly lowered but still quite high slot, he tends to work vertically, and neither his fastball nor slider have much horizontal movement, so those pitches look the same out of his hand. The changeup could be a worthy addition, I suppose, but the fastball is his foundation. At times in the past, his slider has been nearly unhittable, but his overall results were still subpar because of a fastball either too wild or grooved.

His return could be huge if Eovaldi continues to struggle

I am only seeing where Church pitched on the 28th and gave up 2 hits and a walk in his 1 inning. Couldn't find where he pitched on the 29th or 31st.
Toedo hasn't looked to great looking at the box score.

I understand what you are saying but unless Eovaldi goes on the DL which is where Bradford would help, i can't see them taking him out of the rotation.

I am beginning to wonder if Teodo is going to be one of those rare pitchers who can do better as a starter than as a reliever. He started his struggles when they converted him to a reliever.

It could get interesting this next offseason if Rocker gets s chance to show he is ready to be trusted between now and the end of the season. With six quality starting pitchers will they be tempted to trade one and get a closer in return. Of course, that is only possible if Leiter, Eovaldi, Bradford, deGrom, Gore, and Rocker all go into the offsesson healthy.

Although, I do wonder if Rocker isn't traded for a traded for a closer in July.

Of all the SP that might do relief this year Rocker is the one that might conver easiest. He may need an innings limit

The strongest I have ever heard CY refute something is when he refuted that Rocker would be used in the pen.

And, they have several relief candidates in the upper levels.

They sure had him warming up in the pen in the game that they won 8-5.

Former Rangers prospect, Gavin Fien has joined MLB Pipeline's top 100 prospects list.

Well definitely not the first half of season. But what about if he racks up a bunch of innings
Sure don’t want to shut him down
