They sure had him warming up in the pen in the game that they won 8-5.
I think that was because of the emergency situation that the last minute deGrom injury created.

Former Rangers prospect, Gavin Fien has joined MLB Pipeline's top 100 prospects list.
No surprise. We sure better find some dividends with Gore. I think he has more a future due to age than JDG and Nate

Well definitely not the first half of season. But what about if he racks up a bunch of innings
Sure don’t want to shut him down
They throw so few innings in the minors that that won't be a problem. Also, I took your comment to mean he could go to the pen next year since we might have 6 quality starters, as it was in response to me mentioning that.

We have to have some SP depth in the minors but sure don’t think Rocker is just going to be stashed down there. I don’t have the answers but Cody Rocker and Latz all on thr active roster means 1 or even 2 do pen work barring injury

Well, he's got this year and next before becoming a free agent. That is the same as them.

No long term I think Roxker is and shkuld be a SP.
I have changed my mind on Latz. He fizzles with velo and don’t think he can make more than 5 innings in a start. He can be a spot starter but not part of the regular rotation at least this year

We have a lot more relief depth than starter depth.

Yeah, even with Latz in the pen next year they could have one extra starter. That is not counting the possibility of one or more of Corniell, Santos and Davalillo being ready, and they are definitely possibilities.

With Eovaldi and deGrom on the staff, there is always a good chance he could make 5 or 6 starts for each of them. He is probably going to make a few early on as well. I could see him making 13 to 15 starts here and about 10 to 12 for Round Rock.

We shall see. Surely some injury with one SP down the road

Yeah, if we get some injuries he could stay in our rotation almost all year. You never know about those injuries.

Bradford only needed 11 pitches in the first inning. His fastball was as high as 91.5 MPH.

11 pitches and 8 strikes in a 1-2-3 inning.

From Tepid:

Leandro Lopez’s first K of 2026 is one of the Astros’ top prospects, Walker Janek. Lopez is on Texas’ 40-man and him making an appearance in the Rangers’ pen this year isn’t out of the question. Good FB, good CB.

Cam Cauley got his first HR of the season in the bottom of the first for Round Rock.

He gives up a HR to the first batter in the 2nd on a changeup.

Bradford gave up 2 runs in the 2nd. He appeared to be working more on his changeup and slider that inning.

Overall, 27 pitches with 17 strikes.

The catcher we wanted. Liam Hicks doing well with Marlins Tyler Phillips too

From Matthew Harris:

Evan Siary made his season debut on Opening Day for Hickory tonight, and he very much impressed. Siary pitched 4 innings, allowed 2 hits, 1 run, 0 walks, and struck out 8(!!) on 60 pitches (80% strikes).

Siary dominated the zone against the Royals Low-A affiliate. Siary sits around the mid 90’s with his fastball, but his calling cards are his breaking ball secondary pitches. He has a mid 80’s slider that has a lot of really sharp bite, and his curveball gets great depth while sitting in the mid 70’s.

Siary has a starters mix and he fills up the zone ad nauseam to opposing hitters. He was one of my favorite arms from last year’s draft, and if he puts up a few more performances like this, I would not expect him to stay in Hickory very long.

Well, I know about Evan Siary, now. Lol
