Series Thread: Rangers Host the Angels For Three Games August 25-27

After three games against the struggling Clevelands, the Rangers turn their attention to the struggling Angels. The Rangers will send out deGrom, Corbin, and Eovaldi. In the last two games they Angels will send out LH pitchers.

With Carter, Burger, and Semien all hurt, the Rangers should get to see a lot of Duran, Freeman, and Osuna over the rest of the season. It would have been a great time to get a long look at Crim had they not dumped him.

Hopefully, sweeping Cleveland doesn't deter CY from doing whatever it takes to get below the CBT threshold. That absolutely has to happen unless we want next year to look worse than this one. It is nice to win some games, but it is all about next year, at this point, or at least, it should be.

Congratulations to Double-A Frisco INF/OF Cameron Cauley, who was selected as Texas League Player of the Week for 8/18-24.

The Rangers' no. 17 prospect (MLB Pipeline) went 7-for-11 (.636) with 4 HR, 1 2B, and 6 RBI in 3 G at Corpus Christi last week.

Cauley, 22, went 3-for-4 with a career-high 3 HR and 4 RBI in Frisco's 7-4 W Tues., becoming the 5th RoughRiders hitter in team history to slug 3 HR in a game.

The 3rd rd. pick in the 2021 Draft by TEX ranked T1st in the Texas League in HR (4), RBI (6), and XBH (5) last week.

All three of the balls our batters put into play were hit over 100 mph, yet we have no hits through 2 innings. Maybe that means good things for the rest of the game.

This team can be be nauseating. Your home with Degrom pitching and playing against a team thats mailed it in. Dont see any sign of life from this offense

That's why the Cleveland series didn't move the needle for me.

He gives up way too many bombs. Hope CY does not entertain the idea if bringing him back

This was a bad loss but not of us should be surprised. The team just swept a Cleve team that cant hit and decided to play its worse ball of the year.
