Great win. And we can come back when down

Much different than earlier in the year.

So sad to hear about the shooting

Day of reflection
Prayers to family and nation and world
What a terrible tragedy. Praying for his family.

That shooter took a father from his 2 kids and lovely wife. Very sad. Sometimes I just dont want to leave my house.

The Astros just took the lead in the top of the 9th after the Blue Jays had tied it up in the bottom of the 8th.

I’m hoping the unlikely play and high energy from the Little Rascals inspires some of our veterans (Heim, Jung, Burger, Pederson, Garcia) who have underperformed significantly this season and gets them back to playing fun and loose baseball. Maybe they can be this year’s version of 2023 Evan Carter- the unlikely late season spark that turned everything around.

Watching the Cardinals lose to the Mariners in such a give up fashion is depressing. I honestly wonder how St. Louis is only 1 game under .500. Garbage lineup (Lars Nootbaar, Ivan Herrera, and Alec Burleson), garbage rotation (Sonny Gray can’t pitch every game), garbage bullpen, and one of the worst managers in all of baseball.
Cardinals have had multiple opportunities this evening to break this game open against the Mariners only to fail with bases loaded and no outs.

Thomas Saggese is doing his part to try and beat the Mariners. He is 4 for 5 and just drive in a run in the 11th.

My goodness the Mariners’ offense makes ours look competent by comparison. They’ve had the bases loaded in back to back extra innings with 1 out or fewer and failed to get a run in either time.

I liked Thomas Saggese at time of the trade 2 years ago. I dont know if has enough power for me plus we dont win a W.S with out getting Montgomery.back in that trade

So the Mets look like their fading a bit. Rangers really need to get 2 out of 3 against them this weekend because I dont see the Angels giving us much help this weekend with their 4 games at Seattle..
Dont see Atlanta giving us much help this weekend at home against Houston. Astros have Brown and Valdez pitching in that series.
We need to stay with in 2 of Houston going into that series on Monday. Seattle has 4 tough games on the road at KC starting next Monday before they play 3 at Houston.

At this point our strength of schedule is about even with the Astros. We are at 20th and they are 21st. Seattle has a slightly easier schedule.

If we are 2 games behind going into the Houston series then we control our own destiny unless KC is ahead of us

At this point our strength of schedule is about even with the Astros. We are at 20th and they are 21st. Seattle has a slightly easier schedule.
Schedule for remainder of season:
Texas - Mets (3 Away) Houston (3 Away) Miami (3 Home) Twins (3 Home) Cleveland (3 Away)
Seattle - Angels (4 Home) KC (3 Away) Houston (3 Away) Colorado (3 Home) Dodgers (3 Home)
Houston - Toronto (1 Away-losing right now) Atlanta (3 Away) Texas (3 Home) Seattle (3 Home) Oakland (3 Away) Angels (3 Away)
KC - Cleveland (1 Away) Phillies (3 Away) Seattle (3 Home) Toronto (3 Home) Angels (3 Away) Oakland (3 Away)
Cleveland - KC (1 Home) White Sox (3 Home) Detroit (3 Away) Twins (4 Away) Detroit (3 Home) Texas (3 Home)

Hope I didn't mess something up. Very interesting and meaningful games for all teams involved with head to head games that could decide the outcome. And having Oakland to go up against is not a walk in the park.

We are now 3 games back of Houston. They got shut out 6 - 0 today. Starting to feel like the Rangers are going to continue to ride this momentum.
