It’s been a *very* rocky start to the season for Emiliano Teodo, but it’s days like today that make it difficult to quit on him. Teodo struck out the side in his inning of work today, coming on in relief for Dane Acker.
Teodo’s slider was incredibly sharp today, and I have to point out as well that Teodo did not walk a batter today. Sinker command definitely still leaves something to be desired, but he’s been able to command his slider quite well to begin the year, and even mixed in one changeup that he also got his first strikeout of the day on.
The bullpen situation in Arlington is…we’ll just say in flux, so it would be great to see Teodo string together several more outings like this to maybe reignite those talks of a promotion.
