2nd 3rd and 5th that becomes a 2nd if they make Ecf.

Not sure if thats what they needed. Wonder how they are taking letting go of their prized draft picks. Remember Columbus has their first. If rags miss the playoffs that could be a lotto pick

This is a real gamble for them. Clowe has NO GOALS this season. Now, he's been a really good player in the past, but that's a whole lot to give up for a guy that quite frankly seems pretty similar to Poni

I like Clowe. I don't expect him to help much for them on offense but those are the types of players you want on your team.

Of course being the Rag$, they are going to pay him $5 mil. They will then slot him in on the first line. Then finally, they will complete the tradition by running him out of town since he's not scoring 30 goals each season. That or they miss the post-season, get 4 points total from him, and they are a 2nd, 3rd, and 5th pick lower than they were a few weeks earlier

Three picks for a guy that doesn't do much except end up in the penalty box? Im sure SJ would have taken a bag of pucks for him going into the playoffs.

Well this probably means Ranger fans won't be filling up the Prudential Center on draft day. What are they left with 4th, 6th and 7th? Seems like a high risk move. Could be a very interesting offseason for the Rags.

OT: Nasty, what do you think of the Flynn pick-up for the R8ers?

Well I'm a Cowboys fan, but based on the small sample size we've seen from Flynn and all the attention he was getting last year, in theory it could be an absolute steal for them.

My apologies. Had you confused with Clarkson. My bad. :suds:

Amazing what the team looks like without him. Paul Martin is hurt as well. To speak in cliches for a second, you have to be in it to win it and anything can happen. An injury to the wrong guy, or a bad matchup can derail a team.

The Clowe move and the Gaborik to CBJ trades might actually work for the Rangers. They still have some guys that can score and they added some depth they had lost. Anisimov, Dubinsky, Rupp, Prust may not seem like much individually but to lose all of them absolutely killed the Rangers 3rd and 4th lines.
