Exhibit A in why you never draft a running back top 10. He was arguably the top back early in his career, so a guy who panned out big early. But the RB careers are simply too short. Compare that opportunity cost with drafting a defensive end or offensive tackle who plays into their mid-30s.

College ain't the NFL....the NFL is played at a much faster level.....
There are no can't miss prospects and the '27 draft is much better for QB's.

Just a feeling he won't be very good and worthy of the #1 pick. He could be a 14-15 range QB and that is not worth the 1st pick.
I just think we could trade down 3-5 spots and add another 1st rounder. I really would like Reese with our 1st round pick. He is the kind of playmaker we need at LB and we could shore up the OL with the other 1st round pick.
Next year if we suck again after FA and the draft? Take a QB in a much deeper draft.
