With a nod to Average Joe, whose idea I borrowed from the football thread.

Just a place to speak whatever is running through your mind about the game we love and the fantasy game we love to play.

Trying to figure out why Ruben Amaro still has his job and how he got that job in the first place.

Who is on the A-Rod train this year?

My boy this year: Jedd Gyorko. 25 dingers, 80 RBI, .275 avg.

On the other hand, his new teammate, Mr. Kemp? Done. With all his other ailments, add arthritic hips to that list. I have become a big AJ Preller fan, but I think he made a misstep here.

    Is it Baseball yet?

He won a championship something only one other GM did in Philly.
If ARod has 15 dingers it will be a positive season.
    OK I can see it
    done done and overdone
    When's the first draft?

Texas trading for Gallardo yesterday got me a little excited about the upcoming season. That enthusiasm is tempered, however, by reminding myself to never draft a Rangers starting pitcher not named Darvish.

Ha, I can't wait for the first draft.

I don't think Amaro was GM when the Phillies won the championship, I think he was still the asst. at the time. In any event, I can't believe he still has the job.

I won one, made the playoffs in two others and sucked in the rest. It was a bad year for me.

With the signing of Colby Rasmus, Houston is truly going for an all-or-nothing lineup.

    Springer, Singleton, Gattis, Rasmus, Castro.

Will they lead the majors in both HRs and Ks? They won't be boring this year, that's for sure.

Guarded. I was clearly too enthused about all three last year! Maybe they become good values in drafts, however, given their abilities and disappointing seasons last year.

Yeah, a lot of people seem to be high on him this year. I'm gonna have to pay some attention to him.

Martin definitely has a lot of talent. He could have huge numbers, particularly if he hits leadoff and the Rangers take advantage of his base stealing skills. Washington seemed to have an unusually aggressive base running philosophy. Not sure what to expect with Banister.

MLB Network analyst Cliff Floyd had predicted Matt Kemp to have a 30-30 season.

If he is correct, then all other analysts should forever bow down to him as the greatest prognosticator ever.

    30 homers in Petco:lol:

I would be happy with a 20-20 year from Kemp, but don't think he even gets there.

Milk when is the first draft?

I see that the Reds have signed Devin Meseraco to a new deal. He is a catcher who I will keep in mind as the fantasy draft approaches. Easy to get stuck with a bad C position, in my experience.
