Vet's Report on Wednesday!
Web%20Rams

While intrigue about a potential move to Los Angeles continues to swirl around the St. Louis Rams, rookies reported for conditioning testing on Monday and training camp is just around the corner.

Veteran players report Wednesday and the first of nine training camp practices open to the public is set for 3:30 p.m. Friday at Rams Park in Earth City, Mo. There is the possibility this could be the Rams’ final season in St. Louis since owner Stan Kroenke is hoping to follow through on plans to move the team to a new stadium complex in the Inglewood section of Los Angeles.

The Rams’ lone open team scrimmage is scheduled for 5 p.m. Aug. 7 at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo.

Autograph sessions with various Rams players will be held after each practice and the open team scrimmage.

The Rams’ preseason opener is 9 p.m. Aug. 14 on the road against the Oakland Raiders. After another road preseason game 7 p.m. Aug. 23 against Tennessee, the Rams conclude their preseason schedule with home games against Indianapolis (7 p.m. Aug. 29) and the Kansas City Chiefs (7 p.m. Sept. 3).

A new twist for Rams training camp this season includes joint practices with the Dallas Cowboys Aug. 17-18 in Oxnard, Calif., plus another team practice Aug. 19 in Oxnard.

The Rams open the 2015 regular season at noon Sept. 13 against their NFC West rivals, the Seattle Seahawks. Seattle lost to New England in the Super Bowl last season.

Just a simple copy and paste.

No intention at all to rustle any jimmies regarding the 'Rams to LA' rhetoric.

Gurley to open camp on the active roster after passing tests today!

man wouldn't it be a great day if Todd Gurley rushed for like 2TDs 200 yards and Lynch rushed for like 10yds

I been reading that there are some similarities between the two.

Check it out. The new Rams as they open camp. Holy Cow, Jeff Fisher has given birth. He has lost his belly and has really slimmed down. Pictures 29 and 30 are the new O-line. These dudes are railroad cars. Here's the link to whet your appetite.

Couple of those pictures are awesome. One shows C. Long schooling Havenstein and Trey Mason is ripped like no tomorrow. Dude is buffed. And then there are the picks of the new O-lineman. Geez Louise those dudes are monsters.

Holy Cow, did you see how big Barrett Jones has gotten? He has really worked his way back from a flat-out beat up body and he looks like the railroad cars in camp.

Fisher hung around after practice on Saturday to answer questions from the media and he stated that Quick is looking especially stout considering what he has been through and that Quick has added muscle, some size, and strength.

Fisher also stated that Battle is behind but will probably make the practice squad at the very minimum. Fisher is lauding the new bigger, stronger O-line. He is also mentioning the CB situation which is heating up with E.J. Gaines coming on strong and Joyner also being on board now with another year under his belt. Tru appears to be majorly stout according to Fisher.

This could be one helluva a squad that Snisher have assembled in year four of the vaunted five-year plan. We have added a lot of talent and this year could be very surprising in the context of a nice blend of youth and some older guys. We may surprise alot of folks including some of us fans here on the SportsHoopla.

Early reports from camp indicate Foles, Mannion, and Keenum all looking very sharp with crisp passing and several TDs. No word about Davis. E.J. Gaines left practice on Saturday with a leg injury. He got stepped on. Doesn't appear to be serious.

Some of the recent comments on the progress at center are disparaging. After watching the rotation of Barnes/Jones/Rhaney, only Rhaney appears to be remotely capable of handling the center duties. Barnes is getting routinely manhandled by the likes of Brockers/Donald/Fairley. He appears the worse of the three.

Although Jones has improved his size and strength, he is getting driven back into the QB on a regular basis and his footwork is terrible. Jones is rapidly becoming a bust after what, three years of nothing. They even tried Brandon Washington at center. Same result as Barnes/Jones. Only Rhaney has the ability to stop defender encroachment into the backfield while snapping the ball correctly on a consistent basis but from all assessments is a year away.

There is a long way to go and Rhaney seems the best of the four. If this trend continues, look for Snisher to make a move to get someone who remains either unsigned or is a cast-off. This is the one position we did not specifically draft for and its glaringly obvious. Stay tuned on this one.

This is disappointing to hear especially about Barrett Jones. I was hoping his past injuries were setting him back and that he was healthy now. Now I hope they do trade or pick up someone real soon. We got to give Foles some time. I'm sure there's got to be someone available through the waiver line.

Was in STL playing golf at Persimmon Woods and met Austin Davis last Wednesday. Good kid - I told him to believe in his skills and TRUST his ability. We have some mutual friends and he was giving me crap about when I played golf at Southern Miss - around the time he was born.

Was on vacation for about 1.5 weeks so just getting back in the mix.

Ready for football!

To be fair, there is a good chance 90% of the league would get manhandled by these guys. Very few teams have top 20 picks playing interior dl and the Rams have 3
