Thank you Boston :suds:

I'm just happy we didn't have any suspense after Friday night. I was worried it would come down to the wire for us. Feel a little bad for the Tigers, but at least they're still in.

The 83-79 Reds now possess the third-worst record by a playoff team in MLB history (ignoring the truncated 1981 and 2020 seasons), ahead of only the 2005 Padres (82-80) and 1973 Mets (82-79). Also their first full-season appearance since 2013

Hard to fathom how a team could be 3 games over .500 and make the playoffs under the old school format.

Under the new school format, anything goes, but in MLB I truly believe if you get in it, you can win it.

The 2006 Cardinals (83-78) limped in to the playoffs as a division champ...and ended up winning the World Series.
