I've got it taped, I know who won the main ones (as an aside... thanks Province for sending out spoiler alerts when it's not on TV until 3 hrs later.... and thanks for sending one out that said that daniel won the Hart).

is it worth watching?
I don't like Jay Mohr, if that helps.

this is funny - the Ted Lindsay trophy broke its stick (must be a composite), and Daniel is trying to hide it.

Was ok... Jay Mohr basically admitted that all he's good for is his washed-up Christopher Walken impression..

The intro. to the show was really good. Give Mohr some credit for that. I thought he was okay. A few of his ad libs were actually pretty funny and I appreciate he can make fun of himself ("Y"zerman).

It was nothing special. It had its moments, but if you know who won what then I wouldnt say it is worth it.

I liked that and the Getzlaf/Ryan skit.

Daniel must have mistaken Ted Lindsay for Brad Marchand and decided to get a little retribution...

The show itself was god awful. I just kept flipping back to see who won what. Jay Mohr is not funny at all. Can they not get Jim Carrey or something? There are plenty of celebrity hockey fans. As for presenters, can someone explain the old, fat director guy in the Bruins jersey and cut-off jean shorts? The guy must be 50 and goes to an event like this dressed like a 12 year old. Actually, most 12 year olds have more taste than that. All in all, it made the NHL look like amateur night at the local bar.

Are you talking about Kevin Smith? He's probably one of the top 5 supporters of hockey in Hollywood. I bet you'd be amazed at the number of games he has been to.

Yeah, that's all well and good matt. I don't stay on top of stuff like who's who in Hollywood but I was just talking about the way he looked. I'm a little old school when it comes to stuff like that. Would it kill the guy to bring out a suit and tie for an awards show? I never like middle age guys trying to act like teenagers.

Please, in the future, less Kevin Smith, more Jennifer Beals...

No worries, I would have probably said the same thing if I didn't know him.

I've just seen him wear the same outfits for 20 some years. In movies, public, awards shows (he did a pretty funny intro for the NHL awards a few years back), and everywhere else.

The worst part is that I'm pretty sure he is a Devils fan....:boink:
