Watson is getting his 1st start in I dont know how long.

If the team is struggling/losing would you want to bench him for the rest of this game & bring back in Brissett to attempt to win the game?
or
Just leave him in & just stay with him no matter how much rust he has?

Not a Browns fan but I think it's obvious they just play Watson no matter what. They aren't getting into the playoffs anyway. They are essentially 3 (2.5/ Chargers and Pats) games back of all 6 teams in front of them and only currently own a tie breaker over the Bengals who they play at in a couple weeks. At least 3 teams have to have monumental collapses.

Browns will still likely be run game heavy until they need to pass. Rust is to be expected, agreed. Speed of the game is hard to simulate in practice.

Yes leave him in there. It’s not going to be all rainbows and butteflies. Any player that hasn’t played in a year and a half is going to have rust.

Browns couldn't ask for a more perfect scenario. The Texans suck and Cleveland still has a run game that can alone probably win it...

So you ease Watson into what should be a layup game whether it's Brisket or fuckin' Zach Wilson back there... and get some rust knocked off...

With the money and draft capital they spent, just gotta march the fucker out there and hope. I mean 3-7 and there's 5 teams technically above the Browns right now that would still not be getting a playoff spot... Browns have to win out... and frankly gambling on Watson is bar none your best chance to do it. Browns aren't making the playoffs with Brisket.

And getting Watson 6 more games of action prior to next season is important.
