Ya I know it may be a tired argument but I am wondering what the SportsHoopla folks think.

Peyton Manning 9-11 in playoffs 1 SB win
Tom Brady 17-9 in playoffs 3 SB wins

These two are always compared to each other and I just do not see it. By far Brady is better in my mind but I am open to discussion.

I am obviously biased

Manning is a choker great in the regular season and just can't cut it in the playoffs

Brady is far and away a better QB than Manning,he's been to the SB 5 times and won 3

what the hell is there to compare,,,,it's not even close

Peyton Manning > every other QB in history

as for history,,,,

Terry Bradshaw,,,,,4 SB wins in 6 yrs

Joe Montana has 4 SB wins

Manning,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,1 SB win in 16 yrs

I don't see him as anything more than a good QB who never really lived up to his hype

Manning = best QB in regular season history

Brady = 2nd greatest QB of all time

Manning = like the 7th or 8th best QB of all time maybe.

Tom Brady

Before Brady broke any records, I might have said Manning. I personally feel that a QB that does great around 16 weeks is more impressive than one who shows up in playoffs. When Brady showed he could have a season or 2 like Manning, how he did in the playoffs separates him from Manning. I think Tom Brady is this era's (which is not gonna last too much longer) best QB.

So by your standards Trent Dilfer >>> Dan Marino and is = to Peyton Manning?

Manning is pretty awesome as long as he's not playing against the Gators or playing for Denver in the playoffs.

Wtf! Peyton didnt lose that fucking game. They should be in AFC Champ right now.

I would put Brady above Manning only bc of SB wins and postseason. But both are top 10 QBs ever. It is just hard to say where to put em.

Honestly, I'm sick of this debate. Both guys are first ballot HOF'ers and we have been fortunate to watch these guys play the game. Btw, Marino is a top 5 ever and he never won a SB. Winning championships have a lot more to do with the team then just one guy, even if ESPN and everybody else makes it all about the QB.
And fwiw, the Denver loss should fall squarely on the shoulders of the Bronco D and coaches and mostly, the secondary. No way on God's green earth do you get beat over the top like that in the last minute to go to OT. Peyton did make a stupid mistake but it should never have gotten that far.

P Manning is this generation's Fran Tarkington.

Great QB, but always had car trouble the day of the big game.

While SB wins are not the end-all, be-all for a QB, they are about as close as you can get.

Montana, Brady, Bradshaw, Elway all need to be ranked ahead of Manning. Hell, Roethlisberger probably needs to be ranked higher (but he and Marino are the poster-children of SB wins not equating to an end-all, be-all for QBs).

His 3 turnovers lost the game. it was only close because of some incredible kick and punt returns.

He still put them in position to win at the end, with a go-ahead TD.

And Baltimore had a defensive TD bc the receiver dropped a pass. So if he catches that ball, their up 14 points instead of 7. It wasnt his fault and shouldn't of even went to OT.

The 14 points off of returns allowed Manning to put them in position to win... and what happened? A manning INT in overtime. It IS his fault.

I really love the guy, but he is terrible in post season.

Dude, you can't win an argument vs a Tebow homer. In their delusional minds Tebow is somehow on the same level as Peyton. It's like arguing with a woman. You'll never win. Just stop and waste your time on something more useful, like internet ****.
